**Pokémon Center Introduces New Queue System: What You Need to Know for May’s Set Release**

The Pokémon Center has introduced a new queue system for times of high traffic, first rolling out last Thursday during a small restock of TCG products.

When visiting the site during these high-traffic periods, you’ll be placed in a virtual waiting room on a static page. You must keep the page open without refreshing, and when it's your turn, the system will automatically redirect you to the Pokémon Center website to make your purchase.

This system has been in place for a while at the Japanese Pokémon Center, where it’s been effective during major set releases, partly due to the purchase limits on certain products like booster boxes.

For now, the new American queue system has only been tested during smaller restocks, so it remains to be seen how well it will combat bots and ensure that real customers get the chance to purchase products during larger releases.

As we mentioned earlier, the next English set is scheduled for release on May 30th. While we don’t know all the details yet, preorders should go live on the Pokémon Center website by mid-March.

We’re expecting this set to include cards from the Steven’s Metagross ex and Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex decks, as well as Heat Wave Arena featuring Cynthia’s Garchomp ex and The Glory of Team Rocket featuring Rocket’s Mewtwo ex.
